Shop Small . Do Good. - A Holiday Shopping Event to Raise Money for Blessing House of Lorain
Tis the season! Join us in Lorain, Ohio for the 2nd Annual WINTER MARKET. Picture our Summer Market, but indoors and much smaller with a warm, twinkly holiday vibe. Get ready to deck your halls with fabulous new and vintage home decor and start checking people off your list with some amazing handmade goods.
The event will be held on the first and second floor of this beautifully renovated old shipyard building. Also open throughout the weekend will be The Boiler Room Restaurant, Superior City Cocktail Bar and Monkey Island Coffee Shop. Make plans to stop by for a bite to eat of a sip to drink before or after shopping.
This building is handicap accessible with an elevator to the second floor.
FUNDRAISER:
The mission of Girls Give Back is to support small businesses through annual markets while raising funds for local families and organizations in need.
This year, because of the current state of the world, the Winter Market will be a timed and limited ticket, fundraising event. Tickets for this year's Winter Market will allow us to control the number of guests in the building at one time and help us create a safe shopping event.
Ticket sales from the weekend will be donated to our friends at Blessing House of Lorain. This AMAZING non-profit is currently building a bigger and better, state-of-the-art safe house to protect even more children and families of Lorain County that are in need. We cannot put into words the incredible, welcoming and loving work this organization does. Each one of them are angels on Earth! We have posted a video about Blessing House at the bottom of this page and encourage you to take a few minutes to watch it.
We are hoping that we will be able to write Blessing House a check for well over $15,000 at the end of the weekend and we want to truly thank the owners of the Shipyards for partnering with us to make this fundraising event happen!
TICKETS & SPACING:
Because we have to control the number of people permitted in the building at one time, every person entering The Winter Market must have a ticket. Children included.
Your ticket is only good for your time slot. (time options listed below)
Guests will be asked to enter the building and exit the building at their selected ticket time. This will keep our guests "together" at a minimum.
Strollers and shopping carts are not permitted this year in order to accomodate safe distancing of guests.
There will not be a VIP event this year, but instead an Earlybird time slot with a smaller group of shoppers and longer shopping time.
Tickets will not be available at the door.
If the event is cancelled due to the Governor's restrictions, guests will be offered an option for a refund (minus Eventbrite fees) or an option to continue to donate their ticket sale to Blessing House.
